Food Packaging - Pilgrims

Brief:
Pilgrims Choice have been making award winning cheeses for over 20 years. Martin Dawe Brand Design were asked to help freshen up their packaging, which had market research results of being tired and dated.

Solution:
We identified that there needed to be greater clarity in the packs and more prominence to key messages such as the flavour and maturity of the cheese. The ‘P’ logo device was repositioned to allow greater freedom of the brand name and developed it into a ribbon sash to give the quality cues that the brand stood for. Strong, premium colours were then chosen for the variants.

Results:
A more confident design has enabled Pilgrims Choice a firm status within the fiercely competitive cheese category and the cleaner, simplified packaging has a stronger, more recognisable brand identity.
