General Packaging - Micro Babies
Brief:
Martin Dawe Brand Design, on behalf of the international toy manufacturer Tomy, created the identity and branding for Micro Babies.
Solution:
It was imperative that MDBD created a brand that the consumer would associate with Micro Pets, yet giving the product it's own individual personality and identity. therefore, MDBD linked the typography for the word 'Micro' used in Micro Pets range to the new product but creating softer pastel lettering in the word 'Babies' to sit with it. Pale pink was then chosen to target the audience being 7-10 year old girls.
Results:
Once the identity and packaging had been agreed, MDBD progressed to producing P.O.S material, including F.S.D.U, C.D.U, Wobblers and Window Stickers.
General Packaging - lipcote
Brief:
Matthew & Wilson asked Martin Dawe Brand Design to improve the brand image of Lipcote, the original lipstick sealant.
Solution:
The requirement for subtle style was key. this is shown in the resulting design as it is pure and clear, using flowing hand drawn brand typography with unique lip illustration by famous fashion designer David Downton.
Results:
The new packs were launched prior to any other marketing support. This immediately registered an upturn in sales and secured Lipcote's position as number one in the face of growing competition from other major cosmetic brands.
