3M operate worldwide and are well known for their innovative approach and their success with new technologies and ideas. 3M have recently adopted a new corporate identity and, as a result, contacted Martin Dawe Brand Design to assist in the creation of some practical design solutions to ensure the new identity could be applied across their range of products.

Given the 3M corporate identity and design parameters, MDBD formulated five main design sectors to work across the variety of packs and formats. This has created a cohesive look and maximised the brand communication. The 3M logo features boldly on the packs. Colour coded montage strips and bold impactful product photography ensure easy identification of the product and sector.

3M are adopting the new branding across their ranges both for retail and trade environments and the design will be rolled out globally across 3 million skus in the health and safety division alone.
