MDBD has worked with Sri Lanka’s brand leader for over 5 years, and was asked to create the branding and packaging for a range of healthy products. With a massive brand recall and an even bigger brand reputation, MDBD had to create a design that retained some of the well-won heritage of Maliban, yet position the brand to fight off increased competition.
MDBD retained the Maliban logo to ensure easy brand recall, but then adapted the look and feel of the range to take full advantage of the ‘healthy living’ aspect of the products. A new brand ‘footprint’ was created to cater for the product range, and highlight the quality product.
Maliban’s new range has been launched under a health and fitness banner and continues to keep Maliban the number one brand.
